It is gradually getting hot. In order to further enhance student safety, avoid  drowning accidents, improve students' ability to save themselves and save each other, Anqing Foreign Language School has launched a wave of anti-drowning publicity and education activities.
In the first place, we strengthened publicity and education by making full use of the LED display screen in the administration building to scroll the warning of drowning prevention and the requirement of 'six no' every day in that students should not go swimming without permission, should not go swimming with others without permission, should not swim without a parent or teacher, should not swim in unfamiliar waters, should not swim in waters without safety facilities or ambulance personnel, and students who can not swim are not allowed to go into water without permission. Additionally, due to the requirements of the novel coronavirus pandemic prevention and control, students should not go to places where crowds congregate. Meanwhile, we publicized the anti-drowning initiative and anti-drowning knowledge in the form of broadcast by the campus radio station to remind students, parents and the community to pay attention to the drowning prevention knowledge and firmly establish safety awareness.
In the second place, a special meeting on drowning prevention was held. Also, head teachers' meetings were initiated to carry out re-publicity, re-education and re-deployment on drowning prevention, and each head teacher was required to conscientiously implement the work of drowning prevention, do a good job in tracking and registering daily absences, and ensure the implementation of student supervision.
In the third place, Anqing Foreign Language School held the 'Cherish Life to Prevent Drowning' themed class meetings. To be specific, each class organized students to watch special education videos on anti-drowning education, warning them to cherish life and educate them to stay away from drowning with tragic cases. Other than that, each class used the class display column to carry out the thematic activities of handcopied paper contest with the theme of drowning prevention knowledge, enriching students' knowledge of safety self-protection and self-rescue.
Last but certainly not the least, we should let home-school collaboration come into play. For instance, through the class QQ group and WeChat group, we can introduce to parents the family version of anti-drowning safety video, print and distribute the 'Letter Informing Parents about Anti-Drowning' issued by the Ministry of Education to earnestly require parents to do a good job of their children's education and supervision responsibility so that home and school can join hands to do a good job of anti-drowning work.
